Thôn Thắng Thành, xã Trường yên là đất cố đô có di tích lịch sử đền vua Đinh, Lê nằm ở phía tây huyện Hoa Lư cách thủ đô Hà nội 93 km. Thắng Thành có 205 hộ với tổng số dân là 1050 người. Trồng trọt là hoạt động chủ yếu chiếm 60% thu nhập.
